emPOWER Physical Rehabilitation is keeping a watchful eye on the evolving COVID-19 situation.  The safety of patients and staff remains our top priority and we are relying on information from trusted sources. We are committed to continuously review current information.

Based on recent developments, we have decided to postpone all non emergency active in clinic treatment until further notice. We understand that we provide essential services and want to be available to our clients. If you have an emergency (acute flare-up, recent trauma, or post-op condition), please pose the following questions to yourself:

1. Do you have a fever, new onset of cough, and/or difficulty breathing? Yes | No
2. Have you, or anyone in your home traveled outside Nova Scotia in the last 14 days? Yes | No
3. Have you been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or is under investigation within 14 days before their symptom onset? Yes | No

What to Do Next:

  • If you answered “YES” to question 1, we encourage you to see your family physician if your symptoms worsen. Please call to reschedule your appointment when you are feeling better.
  • If you answered “NO” to question 1, but “YES” to question 2 or 3, please consult your local public health unit for guidance on possible exposure protocols. Please call to reschedule your appointment in 14 days.
  • If you answered “NO” to all three questions, please call the clinic to book an emergency appointment.

Thank you for helping keep everyone safe in these unprecedented times,
The emPOWER Team
